Dear Lil'Horn Family,

While I am certainly excited to see snow for the first time in a long time, I wish it was not during our swim/dive season! Please note the following information regarding the County Middle School Championship meet next Friday the 17th  and the changes for this weekend and next week's practices. 

1. Coach Langley has posted the sign up for the county meet today on the season calendar in Swimtopia. Participation in the county championship is an expectation for all our swimmers and divers and parents. Deadline to sign up is Sunday the 12th at midnight. 
2. Please remember you can include a note to Coach with requests. We may or may not be able to accomodate you.
3. Divers you are required to put into your note the 3 dives you will be diving.
4. Parents, we need volunteers to time at this meet. Please make the other teams jealous about how awesome and involved you are. 
5. There are no practices or meets for swim or dive on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, January 10-12th. Stay safe and warm.
6. Due to the cancellation of meets this weekend the Cumming Aquatic Center has had to make several scheduling changes. Practice for Lil'Horns will be Monday, the 13th at 7:00-8:00pm. There will be no dive practices this week, unfortunately. 
7. The Lil'Horn practices are cancelled Tuesday and Thursday due to meets for West and the Cherokee Shield and Spear being rescheduled. 

Timeline for the Championship Meet on Friday:

Divers arrive at 5:45pm and warm ups begin for divers at 6:00 pm.

Swimmers arrive at 6:00pm and check in with coaches.

Swim warm ups estimated at 6:30pm.

Dive competition scheduled to start at 6:30pm.

Swim competition scheduled to start at 7:30-9:00  (estimated).

Awards will be given out at end of the meet.

Divers and swimmers are encouraged to stay until the end if available.

We plan to take a photo with our awards - if we win one or more - at the end of the meet. =-)
