Longhorns,

There is some important information coming up so please bear with me for this long email! 

First and foremost, great job last night at the Shield and Spear Invite. It was a cold pool, and I was proud of how well you all swam. Boys placed first and girls placed second! Way to go Longhorns!

Attached to this email is the Top Times Report for the season so far. It shows the best time each swimmer has swum in each event. It also show who has lettering times and state times.

Here is an example of what your times would look like. As you can see, Mason has qualified for State in the 100 breast (GHSA) and has swum a lettering time in 50 free, 100 free and 200 IM (LTR). 

Now comes the important information regarding our County Championship on January 25th, next Saturday!!!

ALL HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE MEET.

• Absences must be approved by Coach Langley and only will be accepted in extreme circumstances.
• All athletes must attend Prelims AND Finals. Even if you don't make finals you are required to return and stay until the end of the meet. 
• There will not be a bus to & from the meet. Parents will need to carpool their athletes. Due to the length of the meet Athletes and parents will need to plan on driving. 
• Our Team Photo will be 7:30 AM before prelims. CADY Studios will be at the pool that AM to take our photo outside. Bring your team jacket. Please arrive by 7:20 am. We will not wait for stragglers so don't be late!!!

• GoFan will be utilized by host school to charge entry fee to help offset total cost
  • We will send this link out later.
• Heat Sheet access link/QR code will be shared out prior to meet
• County Shirts – can be bought through the EAGLE SPORTZ vendor on site on the day of the meet.
• Volunteers are needed. (An email will come out later with more info)

Meet Timeline

• 7:20 Swimmer and Diver Check-in
• 7:30 Team Photo
• 8:00 am-9:00am- Warmups
• 9:15am- Swimming Preliminaries

• 1:00pm- Senior Recognition
• 2:00pm- Dive Warm-ups
• 2:45pm- Dive Competition starts. 6 dive format only. 
  • Entries due on Divemeets.com by Tuesday 1/21 at 5:00pm, 
  • NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED DIVERS
• 3:00pm Swimmers and Divers Check-in for finals.
  • This is for all Lambert Athletes, not just those who made finals. 
• 3:15 pm-4:45 pm- Finals Swim Warm-ups – assigned times and lanes
• 5:00 pm- Swimming Timed Finals
• 7:15pm- Approximate conclusion of the event.
