First of all, congratulations on your qualification for GHSA state. I know this is a long email, but please read it in its entirety as important information from GHSA is contained.

State Team Pasta Dinner

Please don’t forget to attend our State Team Dinner on February 2nd at 5:30 pm at Alessio’s - 3775 Windermere Parkway, Cumming. 

Swimmers and Divers will receive their state gear at the dinner. Divers will be able to leave early to attend the ADA practice that evening at CAC.

Volunteers Needed 

We are eagerly anticipating a great 2025 GHSA State Swim and Dive meet at Westminster (Diving - Feb. 4) and the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center (Swimming - February 7-8).

This year, we return to prelims and finals on separate days, which means we will need MORE volunteers to help. Your help ensures a great event for athletes, coaches, and spectators. Volunteers are the backbone of a well-run state meet!

Volunteer Information

We need help in the following areas:
✅ Timing
✅ Runners
✅ Deck Control
✅ Hospitality Workers

With two pools for prelims, we need enough timers to cover all spots. Timers play a crucial role, and their backup times could be the reason your athlete makes it to finals!

🆓 Parents who sign up get FREE ADMISSION to the sessions they work!

🚨 Please Don't let Lambert be one of the only schools without volunteers!

Diving – All Diving Events Will Be Conducted at Westminster

🚗 Divers and parents must drive themselves.

🕛 10:00-11:00 AM: Lambert and Denmark warmup at CAC (6 divers)
🔹 12:50-2:00 PM: 5-6A Open Warm-Ups at Westminster (66 divers)

Competition Times:

• 2:00-2:20 PM – 5-6A Boys Warm-Ups
• 2:30-4:05 PM – 5-6A Boys Prelims
• 4:15-4:45 PM – 5-6A Boys Finals

• 4:45-5:15 PM – 5-6A Girls Warm-Ups
• 5:15-7:25 PM – 5-6A Girls Prelims
• 7:35-8:05 PM – 5-6A Girls Finals

📢 Boys dive first in odd-numbered years, girls dive first in even-numbered years.

Friday, February 7, 2025 – 6A Swimming Prelims

🚌 Bus Leaves Gym Lot: 6:00 AM (Do not be late!)
🕢 7:30-9:30 AM: 6A Swimming Warmup
🏊♂️ 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM: 6A Swimming Prelims

Prelims Format:

• Conducted in two 10-lane courses
• Boys will swim in the west pool (main scoreboard side)
• Girls will swim in the east pool (diving well side)

Saturday, February 8, 2025 – 6A Swimming Finals

🚌 Bus Leaves Gym Lot: 7:00 AM (Do not be late!)
🕣 8:30-10:00 AM: 6A Swimming Warmup
🏆 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: 6A Swimming Finals

🚨 All athletes must return for finals, whether or not you are swimming.
✅ All finals events will be swum in the east pool (diving well side).

Photography

📸 Live action photography will be available for families who sign up. Space is limited, so sign up ASAP! LINK FOR PHOTOGRAPHY.

🔹 Only a limited number of reservations will be available on the day of competition, so reserve your spot online in advance if interested.

Heat Sheets

📄 GHSA will send out heat sheets for each session to teams several days before the meet. They will also be posted on:

🚨 PRINT YOUR OWN COPIES! There will be no printed copies for sale during the meet. PDF versions are free, so print as many as you need.

I will notify you when the heat sheet is available.

Parking Overview

Swimming at Georgia Tech

🚗 Prepaid parking for personal vehicles and SUVs can be purchased in advance.
🚐 Mini-buses and passenger vans require advance purchase via this link 

⚠️ No on-site payment for prepaid lots! Vehicles without prepaid passes must park in the Day-of Parking lots (W23 lot on State St.).

🔹 Swimming Event Parking:

• Personal vehicles/SUVs: W10 lot (next to CRC)

Diving at Westminster

✅ Parking is free for diving events.
🚗 Parking is available adjacent to and behind Turner Gymnasium.

⚠️ Do NOT park on curbs or non-designated areas. Overflow parking is in the Parking Deck at the south end of campus.

🚫 No on-campus parking for school buses or vehicles larger than a mini-bus!

Final Notes

🚨 NO ON-CAMPUS PARKING FOR VEHICLES LARGER THAN A MINIBUS at Westminster (Diving) or Georgia Tech (Swimming).

⏳ Plan extra time for parking, especially for prelims—it will be congested!
